About this site
Support non-carceral, mad-centric, disabled-centric, highly skilled somatic care for queer and trans people. + receive access to care as a mad, trans, neuroqueer, disabled person yourself!
Sirius Heart (they), aka Spiderweb Somatics, offers skillful webs of resonant care to support wise disabled, mad, queer and trans bodies. As a trans, mad, and disabled practitioner themself, they have found somatic practice to be incredibly supportive in skillful relating, staying centered + repatterning disembodiment patterns imparted from white supremacy, and unwinding significant shock + developmental trauma from being a survivor of a mass shooting + growing up in a traumatic home environment.
as the web has re-woven them within Its greater support, they continue to weave skillful support for others who need the care and tending of supportive, trusting relationship to begin to unwind and heal. they hold over 10 years of somatic practice facilitation experience from lineages of hatha yoga, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (level 1 trained), generative somatics, experiential practice of Somatic Experiencing (via personal practitioner), experiential touch practices from Kathy Kain (via personal practitioner). they also weave in both ancestral lineages of madness as well as current lineages of madness and disability justice, most poignantly from Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarsinha, Sins Invalid, Project Lets, and Thabiso Mthinkhulu, and kitchen table conversations with Hannah Harris-Sutro, Amber Naali Katz, Azrael Avey Nim, among others.
all of Sirius' offerings are -firmly- non-carceral (no cops in care, EVER) and non institutionally aligned on purpose, politicized, held in consent, held in a framework of Land-As-Being and animist relating, and a deep relational framework. to see their commitments to practice, please see below.
Access all areas
By signing up, dependent on tier you will receive access to different posts and practice spaces.
each membership tier will have access to a Collective Somatics practice space once monthly, as well as private posts and offerings of care and support intermittently (as my capacity allows). a percentage of each tier is split between Sirius, a scholarship fund for QTBIPOC/trans/disabled folks to receive care at lower cost, + a fund to support trans, disabled practitioners (in a 40/30/30 split).
Drop-In tier members will receive access to 2-3 hours weekly/6-12 hours monthly of Drop-In Support where you can bring any issue in for tending in a sometimes individual, sometimes group space! this is my most accessible offering, done intentionally to bring care space to queer and trans, QTBIPOC, disabled, working class folks who may not be able to access quality care otherwise.
As a community somatic practitioner, I am committed to…
- Approaching our work together from somatic-based, non carceral, abolitionist methods of care. I do not espouse harm reduction methods in this particular point, and am wholeheartedly committed to no cops in care, EVER. I have 6 years in lived experience practice of non-carceral work. I trust those who come to me to define their own crises, and support them in tending to it if they so choose. I center community methods of accountability around issues of harm and abuse.
- Conscious and trauma-informed relational container building (especially for those with complex PTSD and developmental trauma, which is most of us!). Having a clear, well defined relational container is a cornerstone of repairing deep wounds created by developmental trauma. I am committed to creating a solid, boundaried, and safe-enough relational container in our work together in order to fully support your integration and healing.
- Utilizing somatic ritual that encompasses the individual body and the collective body - human and non-human relation, connection to ancestry, the land, spirits and landvaettir (land spirits), and animal and plant kin. All are welcome when we share space.
- Consent-based practice with all bodies (self, other, land, ancestral). Your choice and voice are encouraged and invited throughout each session. In our work together, I will support you in shared decision-making, choice, agency, and empowerment to determine your own unique path of healing. I don’t center myself as an expert, I offer myself as a space holder and carrier of wisdom and invite your expertise on your body/ies and lived experience.
- Non-stigmatizing practice and disability justice. I am firmly committed to presence rather than fixing. I am also invested in the reclamation of the word “mad” as used by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarsinha, Mia Mingus, The Fireweed Collective, and other disability justice advocates. I personally identify as a crazy or mad practitioner as a radical reclamation of who can practice healing work. Labels in my practice (neuroqueer, diagnoses, etc) are self-defined (you define them for yourself and I may support if you life).
- Recognizing the wisdom of the Land and centering relationship. I prioritize reconnection of people to their ancestral and inherited lineages (transness, queerness, etc) as an act of dismantling white supremacy and erasure. I prioritize connection of people to the current land they are on, and living in responsible and meaningful relationship with Them.
- Bodies as holy and the erotic as a method of liberation (Audre Lorde). I honor the lineage of kink and BDSM/leather practice as a container for consensual relationship. I celebrate fatness in all its glorious divinity. I welcome polyamory in its multiple forms as decolonial methods of engaging relationship.
- Power-With Framework. I am not the expert on you. I provide the tools, you bring yourself, and together we create transformation.
- Creating inspired, connected relationship.
